Super URL Builder’s Secret Sauce: Email Marketing Integration
Last week we announced Super URL Builder, a free tool that helps build tracking urls. This week I want to explain the secret sauce that sets Super URL Builder apart from other URL building tools.
The Secret Sauce: Email Marketing Integration
If you are using URLs in email campaigns, we automatically append the recipient’s name and email address to the URL. Passing this information allows you to do some powerful marketing. You can greet your visitors by name or with a custom message. Pre-populate form fields for higher conversion rates in addition to identifying the visitor as they interact with your site. Sound complicated? This and so much more is easy to do with Performable CMS and Web Analytics.
To get started simply enter the destination URL and choose “email” under step 2. Next choose your email service provider from the drop down. Behind the scenes we append the ESP’s specific merge tags for name and email address onto the end of your URL. Right now we support MailChimp, Constant Contact, Pardot, Vertical Response, Campaign Monitor, and Newsberry.
Don’t use one of those email service providers? Leave a comment with the provider name and merge tags and we will update Super URL Builder to include them.
