4 Holiday Analytics Tips
To say the holiday season is a big deal for e-commerce is an understatement. To give you an idea of exactly how big it is, here is the amount of money that will be generated online this holiday season: $32,000,000,000. That’s a lot of zeros! This year, “Cyber Monday” (the Monday after Thanksgiving) brought in over $1.2 billion alone!
While the holidays can be an incredible source of revenue for e-commerce, business-to-business services generally see a nosedive in their leads and new business. But just because everyone else’s B2B business is about to dry up doesn’t mean that yours has to.
No matter if your holidays are busy or slow, we have 4 tips (2 e-commerce, 2 B2B) to help you get the most out of this holiday season.
1) Give follow-up offers to the almost-buyers.
Sometimes a shopper is so close to making a purchase that all they need to push them over the edge is a small incentive like free shipping or a coupon.
Try focusing on customers who have abandoned their carts and offer them a small incentive to complete their order. You might be surprised at how many of those customers are ready to do business with you.
2) Gift-wrap your holiday campaigns
Many businesses just send basic email-campaigns with special coupons and direct people to their website. Make your campaign more personalized by sending your viewers to a custom landing page. If you’re sending out a holiday email campaign, send them to a matching landing page to really get them in the spirit! We have seen an up to a 79% increase in conversions from custom landing pages.
If you utilize URL parameter passing to pass email addresses, you can even see who is responding to your ads so that you can remarket to specific visitors.
3) Warm up your leads this winter season
Who doesn’t enjoy receiving holiday cards? It’s so easy to send out holiday greetings to your potential business leads, and with email analytics you can track interactions to determine which prospects you should follow up with.
Emailing your contacts with a holiday message is good for brand relations and can increase your business as a direct result.
4) Tis’ the season for time-sensitive offers
The holiday season is the time when many businesses are finalizing their budget for next year. Use a time sensitive offer to bump your business up to the top of their mind. Because your offer has an expiration date on it, you can focus on following up with the potential customers who respond.
Bundle it in your holiday greeting and take advantage of the season for an effective twist.
New Awesome Feature: Visual Page Importer & Template Maker
We are pleased to introduce the new Visual Page Importer, which lets you import an existing landing/web page and visually select the elements you wish to make editable.
Why is this cool?
Well, instead of having to muck about in the code (the geeks call it HTML) to identify an area you’d like to test, you simply import the web page and click on the page section (a headline, image, list items, or whatever you’d like to test) in the importer. Give it a name, hit “add” and you’ve got yourself a brand new template. Then, every landing page you create from that template will be testable in the ways you have defined. A/B test a headline, video, or any other content that you desire. It couldn’t be easier!
We created this feature to drastically speed up your workflow and simplify the import/customization process!
